Quick Note: As the World Melts...

Artist Isaac Cordal creates cement sculptures which he installs on city streets across Europe.  He then photographs his work to document it.  He calls the entire series "Cement Eclipses" and it is meant as a critique of modern society.   The picture above is from a 2011 Berlin installation he named "Follow the Leaders." The series of miniature sculptures, each 6 to 10 inches tall, were arranged in scenes representing urban disintegration and the faceless capitalists who run our world.

He explained his work this way:  "These pieces reflect our own decline.  We live immersed in the collapse of a system that needs change."

Mr. Cordal called the sculpture pictured above "Electoral Campaign;" but one observer began calling it "Politicians Discussing Global Warming," and that name stuck as the photo made its way across the web.
"Republicans Discussing Global Warming" works even better for me.
