On Thursday, Republicans in the U.S. Senate finally earned their anti-Obamacare badge by voting to repeal the ACA. An amendment sponsored by Mark Kirk (R-Illinois), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), and Susan Collins (R-Maine) that would have allowed continued federal funding for Planned Parenthood was rejected at the same time.
what eye thynk: Voting to defund health care for women and families because of videos that were debunked months ago--videos even the organization that produced them admits were bogus--please, will someone explain to me how this is good governing? Where in the Constitution--you know, the document they are so loud and proud to defend against any action coming from the left--does it say a member of Congress has the right to deny another American access to a lawful service simply because they they don't approve?
We shouldn't have to fight for it, we shouldn't have to beg, we shouldn't even have to explain. It is plain and simply the law of the land and the Republican Party has no right to say we can't access it.
