The Wealthy Really Are Special...Chase Says So

On Sunday the New York Times reported that Chase is opening special wealthy only branches in Manhattan where the uber-rich can do their banking in marble halls while sipping wine and munching on cheese and specially made cookies.

what eye thynk:  What, the rich can't afford their own snacks?  And how incredibly insulting. Does Chase think the wealthy will be harmed in some way by laying eyes on the rest of us?   Note to Chase:  We, the great unwashed, like wine and cookies too.

  1. And so the widening gap daily becomes ever more apparent. But it is perhaps a canyon that this train will be finding as its final destination. The irony, from a humanity standpoint, is that i question who is clean and who is unwashed; what deeds are really required to assume great wealth, what great travesties of conscience and greed. Yes, i enjoy wine and cookies. I just couldn't stomach any of it that is tainted by the hand of unrestrained affluence and the shadow of that greed and insensitivity.

  2. Lies, lies, and more lies!
I, for one, prefer pecan pie and coffee, but you can only get that at 5/3 Bank.

I could understand if Chase were investing in some sort of private club, but making it part of the bank itself and essentially rewarding account holders with large balances is elitist and extremely insulting.
