August 17 - Monday Quote

"I'm not a scientist" is the GOP's patented excuse for denying any knowledge of climate change.  By shrouding themselves in ignorance, they can continue to support the wishes of big-money donors who profit from those industries most responsible for our warming planet.  

At the same time, these non-scientist Republicans readily accept scientific advances in other fields like space travel and health care.  I wonder, if the Kochs owned tobacco farms and manufactured cigarettes, would the GOP be denying scientific evidence that smoking causes lung cancer?
