Florida Doesn't Want to Have to Pay Lawyers Who Represented Gay Couples

"After losing its years long defense of Florida's same-sex marriage ban, the state is arguing it shouldn't have to pay the full cost of its crusade.

Last week, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi (R) objected to a motion concerning legal fees from lawyers who represented gay couples seeking to have their marriages recognized in Florida... (Ms. Bondi is arguing that) the state should not have to cover the cost of the lengthy appeals process it initiated..."


eye'm thynkin':  This is like a "Through the Looking Glass" view of adult amateur sports teams where the loser buys the beer.  Only in Bondi's case, she thinks the beer should be donated.
