Republicans Say the Darndest Things: John Kasich, Living in the 1950s

Governor of Ohio
and Republican Presidential Candidate
John Kasich

This quote is taken from a campaign stop with Mitt Romney during the last presidential election, but judging by Mr. Kasich's continuing stand against women's reproductive rights and the way he spoke to a female University of Richmond student recently,  I'd say his lack of respect for women is an integral part of who he is as a person and who he would be as president.
"It's not easy to be a spouse of an elected official.  You know, they're at home, doing the laundry and doing so many things while we're up here on the stage getting a little bit of applause, right?  They don't often share in it.  And it is hard for the spouse...to put up with the travel schedule and to have to be at home taking care of the kids."
what eye thynk:  Yes, Mr. Kasich, that's who we women are, little drudge people at home, schlepping our way through our chores, taking care of the progeny, waiting for our big, strong, man to come home so we can get him his pipe and slippers and a cocktail, prepare a five-course meal for him and then sit and listen to him explain (in small words, please) about how he saved the world for us today.

John Kasich, a President for the 20th Century.
