Groundhog Day II, Starring House Speaker Paul Ryan

Yesterday, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc), told the media he was excited that the Iowa caucuses were finally being held because it means"the days of Barack Obama's presidency are numbered."

Today, he joined Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)--he of "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president" fame--at the White House for a meeting with the President to discuss working together to move the country forward in 2016.

If you have any hope that something positive would come out of that meeting you can lay them to rest.

This afternoon, after the morning's bipartisan love-fest, Speaker Ryan oversaw a House vote to overturn President Obama's veto of legislation to repeal Obamacare and/or defund Planned Parenthood.  It failed.

what eye thynk: And so life goes on in Washington D.C.
