Who in the hell does Carly Fiorina think she is?
Taken from an article published by The Guardian:
...The alleged ambush occurred when Fiorina hosted a "right to life"' forum at the Great Des Moines botanical garden. Entering the rally, before a crowd of about 60 people, she directed around 15 young children towards a makeshift stage.
The problem, one parent said, was that the children's parents had not given Fiorina permission to have their children sit with her--in front of a huge banner bearing the image of an unborn foetus--while she talked about harvesting organs from aborted babies.
"The kids went there to see the plants," said Chris Beck, the father of four-year-old Chatham, one of the children Fiorina appeared with. "She ambushed my son's field trip."...
...Beck...said he was not asked if Fiorina could interact with the children, or whether she could take them in to her rally. He said the first he knew of it was when his childcare provider told him the children had encountered the candidate at the botanical garden.
Beck (added)... "I would not want my four-year-old going to that forum--he can't fully comprehend that stuff. He likes dinosaurs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers."..
...In answer to a detailed series of questions from the Guardian, a Fiorina spokeswoman said in an emailed statement: "We were happy that these children chose to come to Carly's event with their adult supervisor."
what eye thynk': These are 4-year-old babies. They didn't CHOOSE anything!
I guarantee that if Fiorina had used MY child as a prop, I'd be suing her butt so fast it would make her pointy little face spin.
As for the daycare provider, who either was in favor of this or haplessly permitted it to happen--either one is egregiously unacceptable--they'd be hearing from my lawyer too. The day I found out about this would be the last day my child spent under their care. Paying someone to care for your child does not give them the right to pimp them out to some politician.
Carly Fiorina can scream her pro-fetus creds to the four winds all she wants, but actions like this demonstrate what little respect she has for your children once they are born, or for you as a parent for that matter.
Children aren't stage-setting, they aren't furniture, they aren't cardboard cut-outs to be used and discarded . They are tiny humans whose parents want to protect and care for them, and that means YOU keep YOUR hands off them. MY children will learn morals of MY choosing, YOU don't get to decide what their parents choose to teach them. YOUR opinion has no value MY home.
