Responsible Gun Owner Learns Why a Gun Is Not the Same as an Alarm Clock

what eye thynk:   Another tragic and totally preventable gun story...

On New Year's Eve, friends gathered at Nathaniel Thomas' apartment in Chandler, Arizona for a party.  Sometime during the evening, Gage Bodenheimer, a guest at the party, stretched out on the floor and fell asleep.

Nathaniel Thomas wanted his friend to wake-up and rejoin the festivities, so, he decided to wake him up--using his gun.  Yes, in Nathaniel Thomas' world, waking someone up to the sound of a gun's hammer closing on the empty chamber of a handgun is a huge joke, worthy of performing before his other party guests.

Unfortunately for everyone involved, especially Gage Bodenheimer, the gun Mr. Thomas chose to use for his comedy routine was loaded.  His friend died.

Then this brave gun owner called 911 and told police he had shot an intruder in his home--not that he had made a horrible, terrible mistake--but that he had shot an intruder.  Did he think no one else at the party would identify their bleeding friend lying dead on the floor?

Just another good guy with a gun making the NRA proud.

Say after me: ALL guns are loaded.  NEVER point a gun at someone or something you don't want to kill.
